Two New Poems in Rowayat, Issue #14: Mirrors
I have two new poems published in the literary journal, Rowayat, Issue #14: Mirrors.

"The Lesbian Poem"
"I Saw You Sing Tears For Fears at Karaoke and Was Embarrassed for You"
I am pleased and humbled to have my poetry in Rowayat alongside such magnificent writers and poets. I strongly recommend reading through the whole issue, and past issues.

I'm planning on publishing a follow-up essay a year after I wrote this one:

I started writing a memoir of the 2020s, using my journals. Right now I am transcribing them. My handwriting can be terrible, and I had a lot of faith in my own ability to read shorthand. The experience has been validating though. I am alive probably because I read books.
I made good choices when there were no good choices to make.

I quit smoking completely a month after this. It was incredibly hard to do. I have kept a journal since the late 90s, with a gap when I drank too much. But, I kept my word during this time.

I have more poems coming soon too.

Don't let the bastards get you down.
I love you all very much.

I accept donations:
If you want to purchase high-quality masks and PPE, I recommend Bona Fide Masks. These help with wildfire smoke too.
